What is the robot for?

The Oxobot autonomous field robot is intended to take repetitive movement and spraying work onto a robotic platform. The focus is useful ground-based work in vineyards and orchards: move through the field, carry out a configured task and support the grower’s workflow. It can also form a platform for agricultural transport, subject to the selected equipment and site requirements.

This is a ground robot, rather than a crop-spraying drone. Ground access, row spacing, turning room, terrain and the task itself determine whether the configuration fits a farm. A discussion with the team should come before a purchase decision.

Autonomy, scheduling and control

The autonomous version is offered for fully autonomous fieldwork and scheduled task operation. A scheduled mission means choosing when a configured task should start. It does not mean every field is automatically compatible: the route, working area, equipment and site conditions need to be agreed for the intended job.

A remote-controlled version is a separate offering for growers who want to direct the robot’s movement themselves. Compare the operating mode you need, rather than assuming that remote control and autonomy are the same feature.

Preorder enquiry only. No online payment is collected. Final configuration, taxes, freight, availability and delivery timing are confirmed by quotation.

The published amount is for the stated field-robot offering; it is not a fixed quote for every attachment or custom integration. Ask for an itemised quotation and a description of the proposed operating conditions.

What to check before choosing a spraying robot

  • Share crop type, row width, headland turning space and farm area.
  • Describe slopes, loose ground, obstacles and access between plots.
  • Explain the spraying task and the equipment you expect to use.
  • Discuss operating procedures, emergency stopping, maintenance and training.
  • Ask for a demonstration and confirm the final specification and service arrangements.

Moving a spraying task onto a robotic platform can help keep people away from the active spray path. Safe chemical handling, protective measures and site planning still apply. We do not publish a measured chemical-saving percentage, universal acreage rating or guaranteed payback for this offering.

How is it different from precision pruning?

The developed field platform supports the foundation of Oxobot’s agricultural robotics work. Precision grape-pruning automation is a separate R&D programme: it adds crop-aware perception, cut selection and robotic cutting. The pruning system is in development and validation, not a ready-to-deliver commercial pruning robot.
